Financial-Promotions & Marketing Copy Guideline
Internal guideline for everyone who writes public copy — website, ads, social, emails, app store, decks. The golden rule: every claim must be fair, clear and not misleading. When in doubt, leave it out and ask compliance.
Vanquish AI is software for self-directed automation — not advice, not a managed service, not a promise of returns. Our copy must never imply otherwise. This also protects us from financial-promotion and consumer-protection exposure.
1. Core principles
- Sell the tools, never the outcome. We provide a builder, backtesting, paper trading, hosting and controls. The user decides and is responsible.
- Fair, clear, not misleading. No exaggeration, no cherry-picked results, no hiding risk.
- Risk is always near return. Any reference to performance, backtests or live trading must carry a clear risk reminder.
- No advice, no signals. We never tell anyone what to buy or sell.
- Substantiate every factual claim. If we can't prove it, we don't say it.
2. Banned claims (never use)
- "AI that makes money for you" / "automated profits" / "passive income"
- "Guaranteed returns" / "risk-free" / "can't lose" / "consistent profits"
- "Best stocks" / "top picks" / "hot trades" / any recommendation or signal
- "We trade for you" / "managed" / "copy our trades" / "follow our bot"
- "Beat the market" / "outperform" / performance promises or targets
- Specific or implied return figures ("turn €X into €Y", "10% a month")
- Testimonials implying typical profits; unverified or fabricated results
- Urgency/FOMO that pressures financial decisions ("last chance to profit")
3. Approved framing (use instead)
- "Build, backtest, and host your own trading bots."
- "You write the strategy. You set the risk limits. You decide when to go live."
- "Test against years of historical data before you risk real capital."
- "Paper trade for free; a subscription is required only to go live."
- "Tools and infrastructure for self-directed traders."
4. Showing performance, backtests or examples
- Label clearly as illustrative / hypothetical / backtested and use realistic, non-cherry-picked examples (or obviously fictional sample data marked as such).
- Always pair with: "Backtested and simulated results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance. Trading involves risk; you may lose money."
- Never present a sample bot's numbers as something users will achieve.
5. The VQS token
If mentioned at all: describe only as optional utility/access/community. Never as an investment, profit/revenue share, yield, or something that will increase in value. No price or return talk. Route any token marketing through legal review.
6. Channels & disclosures
These rules apply everywhere, including short formats (ads, social, push). Where space allows, link to the Risk Disclosure. Paid ads must comply with each platform's financial-services advertising policies. Keep a record of published promotions for review.
7. Pre-publish checklist
- Does it sell tools/control rather than outcomes?
- Is there any implied advice, signal, or return? (If yes — rewrite.)
- Is risk acknowledged near any performance/live-trading reference?
- Can every factual claim be substantiated?
- Is the tone fair, clear and not misleading? When unsure → compliance review.
